We had our wedding at Historic Saint Joseph Hall and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. For a wedding, it was fairly affordable, and having the venue, catering, and bar all included as one package made planning so much simpler and more efficient.
The building itself is beautiful. We loved the architecture and the aesthetics inside, and the space made our wedding feel intimate while still giving us plenty of room for all of our guests. One feature we especially appreciated was having use of the cottage next door. It gave the bridal party a comfortable place to get ready, worked well for storage, and made it easy to pick everything up the next day. (It also ended up being a great option for us, the bride and groom, to stay overnight instead of going back home.)
A big thank you to Al, the venue coordinator, and the entire staff for pulling everything together after our previous venue coordinator left. We received so many comments from guests about how friendly and fun the bartenders and staff were. We also appreciated the flexibility we had in using the building, which took a lot of stress off of us.
Parking is hard to come by in downtown Indianapolis, so having both parking and valet available was a huge help for our guests. We chose the buffet so everyone could pick their own entree, and we received lots of compliments on the food.
We would recommend Historic Saint Joseph Hall to any couple looking for a beautiful, well-run venue with a great team behind it. Wedding

I can’t recommend St. Joseph’s, and Al, the assistant general manager, enough. The entire team at St. Joseph’s did so much to make our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks absolutely perfect. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and our guests raved that it was one of the highlights of the wedding weekend. The bar selection was phenomenal, the food was great, and we were even able to bring in outside desserts. I can’t speak highly enough of Al and the team; this is a wonderful venue and group of people to facilitate hosting your next event!

The team at Historic Saint Joseph’s Hall helped make my 50th birthday celebration so much fun and truly memorable!
From the very beginning, the team was incredibly accommodating. They had an event at the venue the night before my party, but still managed to completely flip the space and have it ready for us to come in at 10:00 a.m. to begin setting up. From that moment through the end of the night—when they made sure our guests’ cars were retrieved and delivered through valet at 11:30 p.m.—everything went smoothly.
A special thank you to Al Tiano, who kept me updated on any issues or concerns throughout the process. She was extremely helpful, even providing tips on how to decorate the tables and helping with the little details that made the evening come together. During the party, she made sure my photo slideshow and monogram were displayed at the correct times, so I didn’t have to worry about managing those details myself.
The bar staff was fantastic as well! Not only did they make great drinks, but they added to the energy of the celebration and helped pump up the guests. They weren’t just working the event—they contributed to the fun atmosphere, and that made a difference.
And we had an absolute BALL! The space was perfect for my celebration, and so many of my guests commented on how much they loved the venue. Several people told me they would like to use Historic Saint Joseph’s Hall for their own future events, which says a lot.
I truly appreciate everyone who helped make my 50th birthday such a fantastic experience. We danced, laughed, celebrated, and enjoyed every minute of the night.

Historic Saint Joseph Hall was the last venue we toured. We had pretty much already made up our mind about booking another venue, but decided to keep the appointment. We were completely wowed and booked the venue that night. I am so glad we did! While we had some communication struggles throughout the process (the venue was swamped with COVID rescheduling and in the process of hiring additional wedding staff) it had zero impact on the actual wedding day. Adam was very flexible and a great venue and expert for us to lean on. He made our day fantastic. He coordinated with vendors. He made sure everything was perfect. We requested a spicy margarita as our signature drink and he not only made it happen, but it was the star of the wedding. We got so many compliments about it and still get them! When our 8-year-old niece didn't like the dinner options, Adam got her chicken fingers from the restaurant at no cost even though we told him we were happy to pay. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and has so many perks, like the cottage next door and the outdoor terrace - perfect if you're flipping the room. So many compliments about the wedding venue.
